Has there ever been a survey done on how many Jw's die because of the blood issue? I was just thinking that if a world wide survey could be done it would make people realise just how dangerous this religion is. I remember reading somewhere that about 1% die because of refusing blood. Was that 1% per annum or since 1881? The article was not too clear. But if it's 1% of JWs for a year this amount is 60 000 people but I have no idea over what period this was calculated.

I love Redbush Tea from South Africa. It also comes in caffiene free vanilla, it's really nice. Damn now the yellow highlighter won't go away! It's good to see that one of South Africa's favourite is well recieved. It's also a very healthy drink. Many women here use it as a toner! It can be used to rinse a babies bottom between diaper change. We get it in all sorts of flavour. Peaches, Apple, Berries etc.

My Story
by LearningToFly inhello fellow forum members, i am very new here, and feel it is time to share a little about myself.
this site has gotten me quite riled up again, and even after many years my experience is not memorable and still upsets me when i think of it.
my beginning experience of joining the jw organization at age 6 was not unpleasant at all, and was not for many years.

Has the anouncement about the JW only WT and the 30 min talks been made only in the USA or in other countries as well. Want to ask my mom if she knows about it but don't want to rock the boat.

When you know better you do better! While I was in I thought I was helping others find the "truth". Now I know that there is no such thing and I no longer bother them on a Sunday morning. While was still under the illusion that what ever the FDS said was law I did what I was told to do. I have since realised that it's a load of bs so I no follow their every whim. It's not that we have simply changed our minds and turned on the JWs. It's that we were lied to. I feel I have an obligation to tell others that JWs are a cult and I will scream it from the highest mountain if I have to. Didn't know I had a bit of drama queen in me.

I had no idea there were people who felt like me
by Orgull ini've recently begun challenging my beliefs.
all my beliefs, including those ingrained in me as one raised "in the truth".. a few years ago i sought therapy for chronic depression and my treatment was remarkably successful.
as a side effect, things that used to "work" for me no longer fit with the new emotional pathways and strengths i was developing.

Bad Day !
by stevenyc inevery now and then a day can put things into perspective.
i can be pissed because; a car driver cuts me off while riding a bike, verizon want me to pay bs charges on my phone bill, or thirdwitness is defending the watchtowers abuse policy.
but, today, my uncle fell down the stairs and shattered his skull.
